נֹדִי֘ סָפַ֪רְתָּ֫ה אָ֥תָּה שִׂ֣ימָה דִמְעָתִ֣י בְנֹאדֶ֑ךָ הֲ֝לֹ֗א בְּסִפְרָתֶֽךָ

The word ספרה at the end of the verse is unusual.  The standard translation is “book”, as in “put thou my tears in thy bottle: are they not in thy book” (KJV).  This translation understands the “book” as a place that tears can figuratively be written, and therefore remembered by God.

However, the word ספרה is a feminine form of ספר, which is perhaps a hint that it has another meaning.  The context would indicate that a ספרה is some sort of vessel, similar to a נאד.  HALOT gives ספרה its own entry, but translates it still as book.

דעת מקרא gives this translation, but adds  פרוש אחר: ‘ספרה’ היא בית קבול לנוזלים ומקביל אל ‘נאד’, ויש לפרוש זה סיוע בארמית ובערבית.

Then adds in a footnote:
