These two parallels may or may not be meaningful.

When נבל dies, דוד says: ברוך ה’ אשר רב את ריב חרפתי מיד נבל ואת עבדו חשך מרעה ואת רעת נבל השיב ה’ בראשו.  (I Sam 25:39)

The expression ואת רעת נבל השיב ה’ בראשו is very similar to Esther 9:25 ישוב מחשבתו הרעה אשר חשב על היהודים על ראשו.

And the phrase רב את ריבי is echoed in the ברכה of הרב את ריבנו which follows the reading of מגילת אסתר on Purim.

Finally, the נבל story is one of only a few places in תנ”ך, including Esther, that uses the phrase כלתה הרעה (I Sam 25:17 – See the post on this phrase).
